Canbank Venture Capital Fund Limited (CVCFL). the Investment Manager of the Fund, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canara Bank and a premier domestic venture capital fund management company. CVCFL had launched and managed Canbank Venture Capital Fund in the year 1989, which is a venture capital fund (“VCF”) registered with SEBI under the SEBI (Venture Capital Funds) Regulations, 1996 vide registration number IN/VC/97-98/006. Canbank Venture Capital Fund (“CVCF”) is a trust set up by Canara Bank (as it’s Settlor) on 21st October, 1989. Over the last 35 Years CVCFL has organized investments for its funds in several promising companies, partnered progress and posted successful exits. CVCFL has facilitated many investments in businesses with an established technological or market positioning edge and good growth potential for its funds.
CVCFL has so far launched 6 Venture Capital Funds (Direct Funds) with a corpus of INR 790 Crs and 1 Fund of Funds “Electronics Development Fund-EDF” with a corpus of INR 927 Crs. Out of 6 Direct Funds, 4 Funds have been closed and 1 Fund is in divestment mode and another in investment mode. We now propose to launch direct fund with a target corpus of Rs.300 Cr.
